Overlooking MacNab May in Upper Malagash, Nova Scotia, the historic MacNab Hill Cemetery sets on a dome-shaped hill surrounded by a small wooded area. Around 1790 Alexander McNab came to Upper Malagash from Scotland and established this family cemetery. There are more than 145 individual burials, the earliest being a daughter who died in 1803. Many close relatives and their descendents are buried on the site. The cemetery is located at the end of MacNabs Road. .
MacNab Hill Cemetery Society was formed and registered with the province of Nova Scotia in 2016 - # 3302609. In 2018, the Society became a registered Charity under the income tax act - CRA # 74428 6691 RR0001. The objective of the Society is to care for, preserve and maintain the Cemetery.
